Hamas terrorists broke into the Elyakim-Arava family home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz – and livestreamed the horror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrorists shot Noam, the father of the family. His young daughters, Ella and Dafna, sat there at gunpoint with Dikla and her son Tomer, while the wounded Noam sat beside them, bleeding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They tore Tomer from his mother\u2019s arms and took him with them. At gunpoint, they forced him to go from house to house and try to lure his neighbors outside – so they could be murdered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomer refused to cooperate. With incredible presence of mind, he repeatedly told the terrorists that the houses were empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With unimaginable courage, Tomer stood before his killers – and saved lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eventually, the terrorists took Tomer to the Idan family home. There, they murdered 18-year-old Maayan in front of her parents and siblings, held Tomer and the family at gunpoint, and abducted her father, Tzachi Idan, to Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, Tomer and his mother, Dikla, were killed during the fighting in Nahal Oz. Noam was murdered on the way to Gaza. Ella and Dafna were abducted to Gaza and later returned in a deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tzachi Idan was murdered on the 54th day of captivity. His body was held by Hamas in Gaza for 510 days before it was returned to Israel and identified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomer was only 17 – caring, generous, a kind soul, full of life. Remember him for his bravery, his light, and his smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
